The Batman to start streaming on HBO Max to 45-day theater window

The streaming release date of The Batman has now been officially confirmed by WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar. He states that the film will appear in theaters on HBO Max on the 46th day after its premiere. The 45-day window is also something that will be applied to all of their major releases for 2022 with the state of the industry constantly changing rapidly. “Think about when movies would appear on HBO, which is eight to nine months after the theater premiere. The Batman will appear on HBO Max on day 46. This is a big change from where things were in 2018, 2017, 2016 … I feel really, really good to know that The Batman, en Black Adam, en The flash, en Elvis, and a whole host of other movies, will literally appear on HBO Max on day 46 in a variety of areas around the world. It’s a very, very big change that I do not think people appreciate, and I feel very good about it. ”

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and co-written by Reeves and Peter Craig. In an independent universe, it brings in Robert Pattinson to play a new incarnation of Bruce Wayne. The film also stars Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis. There are early plans to develop sequels, as there is hope of launching a new franchise The Batman. At least two spinoff shows on HBO Max is also in the works.

The Batman will be shown in cinemas on March 4, 2022. With its 45-day window keeping it exclusively for theaters, the film is starting to stream up HBO Max on April 19, 2022.
