The Batman is officially rated PG-13

We are just a few months before the long-awaited premiere of The Batman, and the official rating has just come in for the film. As expected, The Batman was officially rated PG-13. Per, is the PG-13 rating for “strong violent and disturbing content, drug content, strong language use and some suggestive material.”

Because Warner Bros. would like a big-budget movie like this to be seen by as large an audience as possible, it always seemed very likely that The Batman would be rated PG-13. There have been some early rumors of an R rating and some fans may have suspected the success joker could have led to The Batman get a similar rating. While the film is not quite as violent as to justify an R rating, it nevertheless seems to push the boundaries of that PG-13 rating with the way “Vengeance” bumps helpless thugs into the trailer, not to mention speaks that the film is a sadistic serial killer.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman Robert Pattinson interprets as the latest big screen version of Bruce Wayne. The film has no connection to any DCEU movies and takes place in its own independent universe with no Justice League or anyone else to call for help when a psychotic serial killer known as the Riddler (Paul Dano) starts terrorizing Gotham City. The film also stars Zoe Kravits as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot aka Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon.

Lots of recent marketing for The Batman focused on the relationship between Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle. While Bruce and Selina have their differences, they may have to come together to stop the Mystery of the Mystery in the new film. Kravitz also referred The Batman as an origin story for her Catwoman, who teases that more can be explored with her in the inevitable sequel as well.

“It’s an origin story for Selina,” the actress said Rich. “So, this is the beginning of her finding out who she is, beyond just someone trying to survive. I think there’s a lot of room to grow and I think we’re watching her become what I’m sure the femme fatale will be.”

From how she prepared for her role as a cat burglar with a thing for cats, Kravitz added: “We looked at cats and lions and how they fight, and talked about what’s actually possible if you’re my size. , and Batman is so much stronger than me.What’s my skill? It’s fast and hard.So we did some very interesting floor work that included different kinds of martial arts and capoeira and some kind of feline, dance-like movement.

The Batman will be released in cinemas on March 4, 2022. Exactly 45 days after it appeared in theaters, the movie will start streaming on HBO Max.
