Talk to ComicBook.com last year, Kevin Feige gave a big hint that the cast is likely to be secretly carried out on the newly recruited Marvel family members, as he suggested the new group would consist of a few well-known and lesser-known stars. Feige explained:

“I think the MCU is a beautiful combination of both (established actors and new faces). I think you look no further than Simu in Shang-Chi, like Chris Hemsworth, like Tom Hiddleston, like Tom Holland, an actor who has never been seen before by a huge number of people, or you have a Benedict who walks into Doctor Strange or Christian Bale who Gor in our Thor film instap. It’s always a beautiful combination of both, and it’s really about finding the best actor for the job, whether that actor is still known to the world or not. ”

The Fantastic Four will be filmed for a 2023 release later this year

Fantastic Four Reboot will be the end of MCU Phase 4

There is a lot of circumstantial evidence to suggest that Jon Watts will start making the MCU debut of The Fantastic Four sometime this year, with a view to a release date of later in 2023 or early 2024. Currently the last MCU movie with a release date Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which appeared in movie theaters on July 28, 2023 and was originally the final Phase 4 movie. However, an updated Marvel show reel was released before the arrival of Black widow expanded the list to include the title page of The Fantastic Four, which makes many people believe that the film would come as a new ending to the Phase 4 series.

Since then, nothing more has been revealed about the movie, but after the recent reshuffle of Disney’s release list, it’s another Marvel movie coming in November 2023 and one in February 2024. The two most discussed and likely competitors to take these slots are The Fantastic Four and Lime, and consider filming on the third Ant-Man movie is complete, and both The Marvels and Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 within the next month or so, it would be expected that a new Marvel movie would be in production as soon as it’s finished.

With many rumors also circulating about which characters will make their first appearance in Doctor Strange in the Versatile of Madness, the arrival of at least one member of the Fantastic Four is a strong possibility. With Kevin Feige teasing it recently Doctor Strange re-recordings have been carried out to include several new launches, if casting has already taken place for people like Mr. Fantastic and his team, then it would make sense for their first appearance to come in such an all-encompassing story. If not, then sure by the time Doctor Strange in the Versatile of Madness drops in May, we will have found out something more about the impending arrival.
