Evangeline Lilly spark setback with anti-vaccine rant

Evangeline Lilly has many people talking after attending an anti-vaccine rally and slapping vaccine mandates on social media. On Instagram, the 43-year-old actress announced that she had personally attended a rally in Washington, DC, to protest against the vaccine Sunday. The well-known anti-waxxer Robert F. Kennedy spoke at the same rally where he made headlines because he compared the mandates to the Holocaust, and Lilly’s post was also received with quick setbacks.

“I was in DC this weekend to support physical sovereignty while Canadian truck drivers rallied for their cross country, peaceful convoy in support of the same thing,” Lilly said in her Instagram post. “I believe no one should ever be forced to inject their body against their will with anything, under threat of violent assault, arrest or detention without trial, loss of job, homelessness, famine, loss of education, alienation of loved ones, excommunication of society… under any threat whatsoever. ”

She adds: “It’s not the way. It’s not safe. It’s not healthy. It’s not love. I understand the world is in fear, but I do not believe that the answer to fear with “violence will not solve our problems. I was pro-choice before COVID and I am still pro-choice today.”

This storyline may seem familiar to some Marvel fans, such as Black Panther star Letitia Wright has also been outspoken for her stance against the Covid-19 vaccine. When Wright sustained an injury and had to spend some time away from the set of the sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, there was speculation that she would eventually leave the project altogether due to her views on the situation. Wright has since recovered and returned to the set to return to work, killing those rumors. Production was recently halted again due to another Covid-19 outbreak shortly after shooting resumed.

Vaccine mandates have affected other major film and TV productions, based on some actors refusing to take it. A well-known example was Ice Cube falls out of the Jack Black comedy Oh hell no because he did not want to comply with the vaccine mandate. This was also controversial given the continuing division among the general public over the Covid-19 vaccine.
