Academy Awards Announces Full List of 2022 Oscar Nominations

It’s Academy Award season, and the full list of Oscar nominations has just been announced. Every year, the event acknowledges some of the very best names in the industry with nominations given to the strongest performances seen in film. The ceremony will be aired on March 27.

ABC has divulged that many popular movies are a part of this list. Films like West Side Story, Cyrano, Nightmare Alley, King Richard, The Power of the Dog, Belfast, Being the Ricardos, and more are getting some recognition. There had been predictions that Kristen Stewart would be up for Best Actress for her role as Diana in Spencerand now that’s been made official with her nomination announced.

Many Marvel fans had been hoping Spider-Man: No Way Home would be getting its due attention at the Oscars. The success of that movie can not be denied, with universal praise from critics and fans alike in addition to immense box office profits. It did get a nomination for Best Visual Effects for what it’s worth. While it did not get put up for Best Picture, one of its stars is still up for a major award with Andrew Garfield up for Best Actor for his role in Tick, Tick … Boom !.

The Oscars Will Bring Back a Host for 2022

Oscars 2015 Winners List!
ABC

The Oscars has gone three years without a host, seemingly because there always seemed to be backlash that came along with no matter who was hired for the job. Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, announced last month that the Academy Awards would be bringing back a host in 2022. A name has not yet been announced, though it’s worth noting that Tom Holland has publicly campaigned for the job.

Whoever ends up hosting the show, the Academy Awards will go down on March 27 on ABC. You can check out the list of nominations for the major acting and filmmaking awards below, and you can find out more information at the official website for the Academy Awards.
