Other Places You’ve Seen the Actors

The Halo TV series has been in development since 2013 and has faced several delays and changes in direction, which initially stalled the project. Now, however, the series is finally here and available to stream on Paramount +which is a rebranding of CBS All Access. Halo is based on the popular video game series of the same name, and will have the look and feel of the source material, but will offer something new for fans of the franchise.

Excitement rose when Paramount + released the first full trailer for Halo. Ahead of its premiere, the series, in fact, was renewed for a second season. With new episodes released weekly, here’s a closer look at the cast of Halo and other places you’ve seen the actors.

Pablo Schreiber

Paramount +

Pablo Schreiber plays the leading role in the Halo series, Master Chief; however, details as to how similar his version will be to the video game version are still unknown. Schreiber already boasts a strong resume having appeared as Nick Sobotka in The Wire and as William Lewis in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He also portrayed Mad Sweeney in the TV adaptation of American Gods. Even further, Schreiber has also appeared in Orange Is the New Black in a guest role as George Mendez (for which he earned an Emmy nomination). He performed well in all of these roles, so it will be exciting to see what he brings to Master Chief.

Natascha McElhone

Paramount +

Natascha McElhone is an English actress who already has had several large roles in both film and TV. She began to achieve mainstream success when she starred in the 1996 film Surviving Picasso where she appeared as Picasso’s love interest, Fran├žoise Gilot. She may also be recognized for her role in The Truman Show, where she played Lauren Garland / Sylvia. McElhone also starred in successful films such as Solaris in 2002 opposite George Clooney, and several successful TV Shows like Californication as Karen and Designated Survivor as First Lady Alex Kirkman. Her experience makes us excited to see what she will bring to her role as Dr. Catherine Halsey.

Charlie Murphy

Charlie Murphy plays Makee and viewers will most likely recognize her from her role as Jessie Eden in the massively popular Peaky Blinders. She may also be recognizable from her background as Siobhan on Love / Hate. Ahead of the premiere, Murphy spoke about her excitement for audiences to see her in the Halo series.

Shabana Azmi

Paramount +

Shabana Azmi is one of India’s most acclaimed and celebrated actresses. She has a filmography which spans decades and has won five National Film Awards for Best Actress, as well as five Filmfare awards. Her first National Film Award came in 1975 for her role in Ankur and her most recent was in 1999 for her role in Godmother. She will play Admiral Margaret Paragonsky and recently confessed she did not research too much about the franchise before joining.

Bokeem Woodbine

Paramount +

Bokeen Woddine is an American actor who first gained widespread recognition when he portrayed Joshua, Jason’s brother in Jason’s Lyric. He was also a popular television actor, appearing in series such as Battery Park, Saving Grace and Southland. He also recently appeared in the megahit film Spider-Man: Homecoming where he played Herman Schultz / Shocker. He is set to star as Soren-066 in the Halo series, and promises to bring the same star power to this role.

Olive Gray


Olive Gray is an actor from England, and they are known for their roles in British TV including: The Story of Tracy Beaker, Fleabag, EastEnders and Half Moon Investigations. They are set to play CDR: Miranda Keyes and we are excited to see what they will bring to the role as season 1 progresses.

Danny Sapani

Marvel Studios

Danny Sapani is an actor who audiences will likely recognize from his work in popular British series such as Misfits and Doctor Who. He also went on to star in hugely successful films such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi and also played M’Kathu in Black Panther. He plays Captain Jacob Keyes in the Halo series.
