Blowback Teams Up Randy Couture and Cam Gigandet
Blowback is the second production from Elias Axume and Al Bravo after the home invasion action-thriller The Commando. That film, shot in New Mexico, stars Mickey Rourke, Michael Jai White, and Jeff Fahey. Premiere Entertainment has produced the action thrillers Night of the Sicario with Natasha Henstridge and Locked In with Mena Suvari. Those films were respectively released in April and May.
A former mixed martial artist, Randy Couture is well known for his stint in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He has been appearing in feature films for about two decades, recently appearing in movies like Nine Legends, The Rowand The Hard Way. He is also set to appear in the upcoming sequel The Expendables 4 after appearing in all three prior installments in his fan-favorite role as Toll Road. It was Couture who first revealed that the sequel was finally getting made.
“It sounds like we’re gonna get to do [The Expendables 4]” Couture said last year before the film was officially announced. “They’ve been kicking it around for a couple of years now but I’ve just recently heard from my agent that they’re working on the script for [EX4] and they’re planning to schedule filming of Expendables 4 for this next fall, “” So I have not seen the script yet. They had one a couple years ago that they were talking about making Expendables 4 out of and then [the previous script] comes away, you just never know, it’s such a weird business sometimes. “
